A private non-profit organization committed to combating poverty in Southern Maryland. SMTCCAC, Inc. strives to provide a variety of self-sufficiency services to the residents of Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties.

Mission Statement:

To provide services for eligible citizens that alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty, promote upward mobility, and enrich the quality of life.

Career Training School - Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Training - provides training for a marketable job skill and increased earning potential.
Friendly Health Services - provides medical assistance and supervision for the elderly and disabled in a warm and cheerful environment.
Head Start Program - is an early childhood development program for children from low-income families.   Children who attend participate in a variety of educational activities.  They also enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.
Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP) - helps low-income households pay their heating bills, minimize heating crises and make energy cost more affordable.
Senior Companion Program - provides assistance and friendship to seniors and other individuals who have difficulty with daily living tasks.
